From a Morgantown school with a college enrollment of six, to today’s university with more than 35,000 students at campuses around the state, West Virginia University has undergone an amazing transformation since opening its doors in 1867.
Throughout its history, WVU has encouraged scholarship, offered high-quality academic programs, and served the state and nation.
